VW Golf GTi Edition 30
The Volkswagen Golf Gti Edition 30 was a special release, both for the German company themselves and for anyone who has ever owned one of the remarkable Golf GTi series. This was because the car, released in 2006, represented the 30 year anniversary of the first ever Golf GTi, which came out, in case you had not worked it out, all the way back in 1976. Well it has been six years since the limited edition VW Golf Gti Edition 30 was released and there are a few of these great Motors out there now for sale from second hand dealers. Although they are limited editions, quite a few were sold in the last decade so you should be able to pick one up for much cheaper than the £22,000 price that they fetched brand new in 2006. But will people still want to own a 30 edition Golf GTi five years on?

The car is not the best looking Golf ever – although there is no shame in that, it has some unbelievable competition – but is by no means ugly. The inside of the car still holds up today as well, the seats look great, and the dash is refreshingly simple. You also get some great features like ESP, dual-zone climate control and six airbags as these were standard and you may be lucky enough to also pick up a car with the optional extras like a CD changer in there.
The car, being a limited edition, will be more expensive than other Golf’s from around the same time but this is for good reason. You get plenty more power power, raised by 30bhp to 227bhp and torque, raised by 14lb ft to 221lb ft. You also get a more fun drive than its contemporaries so this car is definitely one to look out for in the used car dealerships and online.
